Designed by Pilatus Switzerland and built under license by Hawker DeHavilland in Sydney, Australia the PC-9/A is a two-seat single engine turboprop aircraft used by the Australian Defense Force for pilot training and to coordinate air support of ground troops. However, the Pilatus PC-9/A is best known to the public as the aircraft flown by the Australian Air Force "Roulettes" in aerobatic displays at major events throughout Australia. Able to pull more than 7G s using the Pilatus, the Roulettes (who fly a precision display using six aircraft) have been flying the PC-9/A since 1990. The aircraft was introduced to the Australian Air Force in 1987 and pilot training on it commenced in 1989. Length:
