The Bombardier Challenger 300 was designed to deliver best value in the super and mid-size business jet category. It offers true transcontinental range and superior long-range cruising speed without sacrificing airfield performance.

The cabin is designed to provide a highly productive working environment for an optimum of 8 travelers on a non-stop journey of 3,100 nautical miles. The cabin - designed to  meet the needs of corporate executives - can, however, seat up to 15. The standard interior floor plan, which has has power outlets and telephones at key seats, incorporates ergonomic tables and double-club seating with ample room for reclining seats to provide an efficient working environment for all passengers.

The Mach 0.82 high-speed cruise capability offers the ability to cross the United States in less than five hours. City pairs linked non-stop by the Bombardier Challenger 300 business jet include Miami-Seattle, Washington-San Francisco and Bangor-San Diego, or Berlin-Riyadh and Singapore-Tokyo. Capabilities from New York include London and Los Angeles.

The twin Honeywell "high bypass ratio" turbofan engines give a fast climb capability to enable the airplane to rise rapidly above both weather and traffic, with a maximum ceiling of FL450 where traffic density is about 19 times lower than at FL370.

Officially launched at the 1999 Paris Air Show as the Bombardier Continental Business Jet, the Bombardier Challenger 300 joined the Challenger family of aircraft in September of 2002.
