It all started in San Francisco with a $3,000 investment. The year was 1969. Now some 35 years and billions of deliveries later, DHL is an $18.6 billion company. DHL has always been a “trailblazer” - building a global delivery network in one country after another. Over 220 countries later, and having merged with US based “Airborne”, DHL is a strong choice for domestic delivery and international shipping worldwide. Staffed by more than 170,000 employees, the company guarantees fast and reliable delivery backed by state-of-the-art technology and a seamless shipping network to over 120,000 destinations. DHL primarily uses the Boeing 757-236SF. The "Special Freighter" is one of three versions of the Boeing 757 family which includes the 757-200, the 757-200 freighter, and the larger 757-300. Over one thousand 757 aircraft have been delivered to various customers world-wide. The 757-200 freighter is designed to accept up to 15 cargo containers on its main deck. The 757-200 aircraft was announced in 1978 and first flew in 1982. The aircraft has exceptional performance allowing it to operate from almost any airport in the world, including noise-restricted airports, short runways and airports in hot and high locations. It is quiet and fuel-efficient, is environmentally friendly and meets worldwide standards for engine emissions. Specifications: 757-236SF |
